Nigeria has recorded 119 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 62,111.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in a late tweet on Monday.
The Health Agency also announced that the country recorded two new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours under review.
The new cases were reported from 6 states including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 77 were recorded in Lagos, FCT-26 Plateau-9 Edo-4 Oyo-2 and Nasarawa-1.
NCDC said till date, 62,111 cases have been confirmed, 57,571 treated and discharged and 1,132 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Agency said a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), have been activated at Level 3, to continues to coordinate the national response activities across the country.
