Nigeria has recorded 147 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number confirmed infections in the country to 62,371.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in a late night tweet on Wednesday.
The Health Agency also announced that the 4 new COVID-19 related deaths were reported in country in the last 24 hours under review.
The new cases were reported from 12 states including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 82 were recorded in Lagos, 20 in FCT, 0 in Rivers and 8 in Kaduna state.
Other states with new cases include, Plateau-8 Benue-5 Edo-3 Kano-3 Nasarawa-3 Taraba-3 Ogun-2 Bauchi-1.
NCDC said till date, 62,371 infections have been confirmed, 58,095 treated and discharged and 1,139 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.
