Nigeria has recorded 170 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 62,691.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Friday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed that the country also reported three new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours under review.
The Health said the new cases were reported from 11 states including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 106 were recorded in Lagos, 25 in FCT, 14 in Oyo and 7 in Edo state.
Other states with new cases include, Kaduna-7 Ogun-4 Bauchi-2 Benue-2 Kano-1 Osun-1 Rivers-1.
NCDC said till date, 62,691infections have been confirmed, 58,430 treated and discharged and 1,144 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT, Abuja.
