Former governor of Lagos state and National Leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu has declared support for the plan of Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu to repeal the state’s pension law which provides bogus remuneration for former governors and deputies.
In a series of tweet on Wednesday, Asiwaju Tinubu described the move as bold and courageous and urged all APC loyalists to support the governor.
On Tuesday, Gov. Sanwoolu while presenting the 2021 appropriation bill at the state House of Assembly, said he intends to seek the revocation of the pension law through an executive bill.
This has generated some comments since then with many expressing fears that the governor may be threading on dangerous terrain. But this statement by the former governor has put that to rest.
