Nigeria has recorded 212 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 64,728.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in a late night tweet on Thursday.
The Health Agency said the new cases were reported from 17 states including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases 71 were recorded in Lagos, 26 in Imo, 26 in and Plateau and 19 in FCT.
Other states with new cases include, Ondo-17 Kaduna-14 Rivers-9 Oyo-9 Katsina-6 Osun-4 Bauchi-2 Ekiti-2- Nasarawa-2 Ogun-2 Kano-1 Kwara-1 Taraba-1.
NCDC said till date, 64,728 infections have been confirmed, 60,790 treated and discharged and 1,162 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT Abuja.
