Nigeria has recorded 157 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 65,305.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this via a tweet on its official tweeter handle on Tuesday.
The Health Agency said the new cases were reported from nine states excluding the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 97 were recorded in Lagos, 37 in Oyo and 9 in Kaduna state.
Other states with new cases include, Bayelsa-3 Edo-3 Ekiti-3 Ondo-2 Osun-2 Plateau-1.
NCDC said till date, 65,305 infections have been confirmed, 61,162 treated and discharged and 1,163 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.
