The Federal Government has set Tuesday, the fifteenth of September as the deadline for the full implementation of its directive on Treasury Single Account which is maintained and operated by in the Central Bank of Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered that all revenue due to the Federal Government should be paid into a single account except otherwise expressly approved.

A statement signed by President’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, hinted that some ministries and departments are yet to comply with the directive. The statement sited a circular from the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi urging the MDA’s to comply.

“In this regard, His Excellency, Mr. President has directed that all MDAs are to comply with the instructions on the Treasury Single Account (TSA) unfailingly by Tuesday, September 15, 2015.

“Heads of MDAs and other arms of Government are enjoined to give this Circular the widest circulation and ensure strict compliance to avoid sanctions,” Mr. Kifasi wrote
