The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of 72 senior police officers.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the commission said the promotion was part of the decisions reached at its plenary that took place in Abuja on Wednesday, May 26, and presided by its Chairman Dr. Mike Okiro
Statement signed by the Commission’s Head of Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani hinted that 14 Deputy Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Commissioners of Police
Others promoted according the statement include; 20 Assistant Commissioner of Police promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police while 2 Chief Superintendent of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police and another 3 Chief Superintendent of Police appointed acting Assistant Commissioners.
