The Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State Eniye Abah kidnapped five days ago has been released.
HOMELAND NEWS reports that the chairman was released on Sunday at about 8:45p.m at Ogonoko waterside in Abua Odua local government area of Rivers state.
The Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officers Asinim Butswat who confirmed the report says he was released unhurt and has since joined his family.
It will be recall that the Ogbia local government Chairman was kidnapped by armed men numbering about 4 from at gun point along the Otuasega-Okarki road area of the Council last week.
Mr. Abah was on his way to the Council Headquarters to attend a stakeholder meeting on the need for the Peaceful conduct of the aborted State Assembly Constituency two election in the Area before he met his abductors
A close source said the armed men dragged the council Chairman from his vehicle and transferred him into a blue colored Mazda and drove him away towards the waterside to a waiting speed boat.
