Abia state police commissioner, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim has warned criminals to flee from the state or meet their waterloo.
The CP said the command will leave no stone unturned at ensuring the citizens of the state have peace especially during these months preceding Christmas and appealed to the people to volunteer information to the police.
According to him, his men will flush out all criminal elements in the state so that crimes will finally be eradicated from the state.
The CP made these declarations while parading some criminal suspects arrested across the state within the month of October at the police Headquarters in Umuahia.
He disclosed that a particular armed robbery gang notorious for operating in Ikwuano area of the state, where they terrorised the residents of the community, identified as Chinda ThankGod aged 22, and Onuoha Chukwuka, 25 were arrested by his officers on patrol.
He said they were apprehended during a robbery operation in the area, and added that some of the items recovered include, locally made guns, life cartridges, masks, charms and some wraps of Indian hemp, and assured that some other members of the gang that are still at large would soon be arrested.
The Commissioner stated that these suspects and others also arrested would soon be arraigned in court.
During interview, some of the suspects denied involvement in the crimes they were arrested for.
