Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has appointed a veteran journalist, Godwin Adindu as the Chief Press Secretary. The governor also announced the appointment of other 14 aides. This is the first set of appointments made by the new governor.
Mr. Adindu before this appointment, was a special adviser to the former governor T.A. Orji on Media and Communication. The 1991 graduate of Andrews University, Michigan, USA, is bringing with him a 25-year experience as a journalist, public relations consultant and social critic.
Others appointed include Chijioke Nwakodo as the Chief of Staff and Ugochukwu Emezue staying-put as Special Assistant on Media.
