Former Gorvernor Adamu Aliero of Kebbi state has lauded President Mahammadu Buhari’s directive to security agents not to bar government officials who served under the administration of former President Jonathan from traveling abroad.
The former Governor who is also a Senator-elect from Kebbi State said the democratic spirit and the resolve of President Buhari to work with all segments of the society will foster unity and co-existence among Nigerians
Mr. Aliero who commended what he called the air of democratic freedom in the country, lamented that he was humiliated and denied fundamental rights to personal liberty and freedom of movement for the sole reason that he was loyal to the government of late Umaru Musa Yar’adua
In a statement issued in Abuja, the Senator-elect said so far President Buhari has operated within the confine of the law and demonstrated that he was not out to witch-hunt perceived opponents or loyalists of the immediate past administration
