The Alaba International Market was on Monday, October 23 shut down by the Lagos State Government over poor waste disposal method.
This was disclosed on Monday morning by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment Tokunbo Wahab through his X (twitter) handle.
He wrote, “Alaba International Market, Ojo has been sealed up for poor waste disposal practices, failure to pay their waste bills, and gross environmental sanitation offences.”
This is coming after the closure of some other markets in Lagos state due to environmental violations but the markets were later reopened.
