Former governor of Anambra State , Chinwoke Mbadinuju, has decamped from the Peoples Democratic Party to the opposition All Progressive Congress.
Announcing his movement to his new party, Chinwoke Mbadinuju, who ruled Anambra state between 1999 and 2003, said the PDP was managed by individuals who had no interest of the country at heart.
He has attributed the current insurgency in the North Eastern region of the country to the perpetration of injustice by the Peoples Democratic Party led federal government in running the country over the years.
Dr. Mbadinuju also declared support for the APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, saying that Nigeria will be in safe hands under his leadership.
It will be recalled that in 2003, PDP returned all the state governors under its umbrella for a second term except Dr. Mbadinuju whose frustration pushed to the Alliance for Democracy and he lost the election to the PDP candidate, Dr. Chris Ngige.
Observers then said he was dump because of the running battle with some influential persons in his state chapter of PDP. The list included the Emeka Offor, and the Ubah brothers.
Since then, Dr. Mbadinuju had failed severally to return to prominence in the party both at the Anambra state level and the National.
