The all progressive congress APC Rivers state house of assembly candidates for Emohua, Etche 1, Etche 2, Ahoada east 1 and 2 constituencies have boycotted tomorrow’s election fixed by INEC in the state after elections were declared inconclusive in those areas
Briefing journalists Friday night in Port Harcourt, the leader of the State House of Assembly and APC candidate for Emohua constituency, Chidi Lloyd said the decision follows the lack of confidence the APC has in the state resident electoral commissioner, Gesila khan to conduct the election.
Mr.Llyod also said the absence of foreign observers and impartial security personnel have further discouraged them from participating in tomorrow’s elections
HOMELAND NEWS reports that the APC candidates also renewed their call on INEC National Chairman to postpone the elections pending the outcome of the suit before the federal high Court in Port Harcourt which could have effects on the outcome of any further election in Rivers State.
