The Bayelsa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sam Inokoba has been suspended over allegation of misconduct and diversion of over N40m largesse provided for the Party for the Presidential rally in the state.

The decision to suspend Mr. Inokoba, was taken in Yenagoa  after an exhaustive deliberation by members of the State Executive Committee.

The Publicity Secretary of the Party, Osom Macbere ,who confirmed the development said the decision of the State Executive Committee has been forwarded to the National Leadership of the Party and awaiting ratification.

Mr. MacBere said in accordance with the Party constitution,the Deputy Chairman of the Party,King Serena Dokubo-Spiff will take charge of the running of the Party within the next 30 days.

HOMELAND NEWS  gathered that the suspended State Chairman, who collapsed during the presidential rally at the sports complex was invited to appear before the enlarged Executive Committee but HE refused to attend.
