Tade Oludayo, Ibadan
Students of the University of Ibadan are currently protesting the death of a student of the university suspected to have died due to the negligence of the university’s medical service.
The student was said to have been rushed last night to the health centre but students claimed delayed treatment led to the death.
They have threatened showdown with the university administration and in particular the Director of the Health centre.
Already thousands of students are out threatening to lock the entrance of the university and causing traffic gridlock along UI-Ojoo-Sango road.
Few cars allowed to pass, plucked leaves of tree in front of their cars as a sign of solidarity and peace.
They have also ordered their colleagues out of lecture rooms to mourn the soul of their departed.
