A federal high court in Abuja has rejected an application for an order stopping the Independent National Electoral Commission from using the electronic card reader in the forth coming elections.
Four political parties had filed an application for an ex-parte motion seeking to stop INEC from going ahead with the card reader plan.
But there is another suit challenging the exclusive use of the PVC and the card reader in the election pending before Justice Abdulkadir Abdul-Kafarati of the same court.
In dismissing the earlier suit, the court, presided over by Justice Adeniyi Ademola, held that INEC deservse to be heard before any decision can be taking on the action.
