The Nigerian military has extended an olive branch to Boko Haram insurgents that wish to lay down their arms and embrace peace.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the director of Defense information, Major General Chris Olukolade said that insurgents that wish to surrender will be spared however the military will leave no stone unturned in its effort to rid the Sambisa forest of insurgents.

The military also released pictures and live video recordings of its assault on some of the camps it has overun within the Sambisa region in an effort to dispprove claims its Campaign on Sambisa widely known as Boko Haram’s stronghold has been suspended.
