The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, today released the November/December 2015 WASSCE result.
The body said out of the 237,154 candidates who sat for the exams, about 30% which translates to 79,490 candidates, obtained 6 credits and above, while 113,573 candidates represented by less than 50% of the candidates obtained 5 credits.
In addition 146,253 candidates obtained credits and above in 4 subjects, while 175,718 candidates, obtained credits and above in 3 subjects.
The results of 28,768 candidates are however being withheld for further investigations in connection with various cases of examination malpractice.
Announcing the results, the new Head of the National Office, Isaac adenipekun, said this year’s results is quite comparable to the previous year.
