The ongoing Junior Secondary Examination at Comprehensive secondary School Nkume in Njaba Local government area of Imo State was disrupted by gunmen on Monday.
The suspected bandits attacked and sacked all students sitting for the examination for disobeying the sit-at-home order allegedly issued by members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra.
The criminals also set motorcycles of the teachers, supervisors and invigilators on fire.
In a video made available to HOMELAND NEWS, a voice suspected to be a young girl, was heard lamenting that their town has been destroyed.
While she cried, gunshots were still heard from a short distance.
The Imo State Police Command public relations officer, Micheal Abattam, said “the police is on top of the situation.”
He said efforts are being made to apprehend those behind the act.
