The desire of one of TikTok co-founder, to step back from active business so he can have more time to read and daydream has kept many people talking.
38-year-old Zhang Yiming on Thursday, 20th of May, said he will be stepping aside as the CEO of ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns TikTok.
He cited his ‘lack of managerial skills’ as reason.
Then on Monday, he made it official through a letter where he stressed his inability to be the ‘ideal manager’ due to the skills he doesn’t possess.
“The truth is, I lack some of the skills that make an ideal manager. Similarly, I’m not very social, preferring solitary activities like being online, reading, listening to music, and daydreaming about what may be possible,” he said.
But with a net worth of $44.5billion dollars, as reported by Bloomberg, what else can Zhang be expected to do?
