A group of ex-militants who benefitted from the first, second and third phase amnesty at the early hours of Friday barricaded the Tombia round about in Yenagoa protesting what they said is the hijack of the Federal Government surveillance contract by the Bayelsa state government.
The ex militants in their numbers attacked motorists, passers-by as well as looting shops along the Tombia round about.
Windscreens of some of the vehicles were destroyed by the ex-militants who were carrying bottles, sticks and chanting war songs.
HOMELAND NEWS gathered that it took the combine effort of the police and other security agencies who confronted the ex militants in a shoot out to put them on the run.
