The Federal Government will intervene in the industrial crisis rocking the National Identity Management Commission.

Government has set up a committee to interface between the commission and the Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria.

Deputy Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Samuel Olowokere,  disclosed this in a statement in Abuja on Friday.

The statement noted that the committee, inaugurated by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Clement Iloh would look into the purported certificate forgery and irregular career progression in the commission.

The upgrade and promotions resulting in proposed dismissal of some staff of the commission are also to be considered by the committee.

Members of the committee were drawn from the ministry, NIMC, ASCN, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice and Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Other members of the committee were drawn from the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and the Federal Civil Service Commission.
