The Federal Government is soliciting the assistance of private investors in the extension of electricity distribution to Nigerians who are not yet connected to the National grid.
Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo made this known in Abuja in an event to mark one year uninterrupted power supply in Shape and Durummi Communities in the FCT.
While the Minister described the operation light up Rural Nigeria Initiative as a step in the right direction, the Chairman, Senate Committee on power, Philip Aduda and the Village head of the Community Yakubu Kuruzhi expressed delight at the progress recorded so far.
