Former Chief Executive of Diamond Bank PLC, Chief Alex Oti has failed to make the list of candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2015 general elections.
Chief Oti had claimed to be the authentic governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) in Abia state after he emerged from a primary election his own faction held where he alone participated in.
The other faction produced Chief Raegan Ufomba as its flag bearer which made both men lay claim to the candidacy of the party.
However in the list of candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission and posted at its office in Umuahia, Abia state at the weekend, the names of both Oti and Ufomba were conspicuously missing as no name was listed for the governorship from APGA in the state.
On the other hand, the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu made the list with all the other candidates from the party for various elective offices.
Also, Mr. Chinenye Nyerere Anyim of the All Progressive congress (APC), and Mr. Chikwe Udensi of the Progressive People’s Alliance(PPA), made the list for governorship race in the state.
