The PDP has raised alarm over a fresh plot to remove the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose.
Acting Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus said the APC lawmakers in the state are camped in a location in Osun State waiting to be moved to Ekiti for the operation.
Mr. Secondus who was speaking at the retreat of legislators elected on the platform of the PDP which is holding in Port Harcourt, said it will amount to illegality and an affront on the PDP if the governor is removed in such a manner.
“We call on President Buhari to intervene. As a party, we will not sit down and watch democracy being derailed. We have been working on deepening democracy for the past 16 years. We must continue to deepen it and I call on you to continue to depend democracy.”
Mr. Fayose, who has been having a running battle with the members of the State House of Assembly, had obtained a court order restricting the members from proceeding with the impeachment process.
