The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has licensed another Power Generating Company to operate a 500 MegaWatts power plant.
Chairman of NERC, Dr. Sam Amadi said the plant would be located at Wajari village along Dadinkowa road , Yumaltu local goverment area of Gombe State
In a statement issued in Abuja, the Chairman of the commission urged the power company to follow through the timelines in constructing the coal power plant which he said was becoming relevant in on-going efforts by the government to diversify fuel source
In his response, the Group President of the Power Company, Jitendes Kumar Sachdeva commended the Commission for its transparency and commitment in processing the application.
