If how busy a political party secretariat is prior to the election would determine how successful the party will be in the election, then a quick conclusion will be that APGA in Anambra state is set to sweep the election in the state.

Friends turn to foes in the process of realizing their political dreams. Between APGA and APC, two top NOLLYWOOD actors, Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Tony One-Week Muonago are squaring up on a head to head contest for the Idemili North Constituency in the State House of Assembly.

Within APGA, more aspirants for Senatorial, federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly on obtained nomination forms on Wednesday.

Among those who obtained forms for senate were Dubem Obaze, younger brother to the secretary to Anambra government Oseloka Obaze, Maja Umeh, a former commission for information in Anambra.

Others for senate were Ernest Ndukwe, former executive secretary of Nigerian Communications Commission. and Chief Patrick Obianwu, a former governorship aspirant.

Mr. Dozie Nwankwo, younger brother to the wife of Gov. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers picked form for the federal House of Representatives for Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka federal constituency, currently occupied by Uche Ekwunife who recently defected to the PDP.

Also at APGA secretariat was Chidi Nwakpadolu, who is seeking nomination for Aguata constituency 11 in Anambra House of Assembly.

After the exit of former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, APGA seems to be readjusting to the realities. But questions continue to arise on what the future of the party will be after the 2015 elections.

Speaking shortly after picking his form, Mr. Obaze, said his main objectives were quality representation and development of human capital in the zone. He said what the people of Anambra north desire most was a change which would bring better tidings to the people, saying that what was next was towards emerging from the primaries and canvass for votes afterwards.

He expressed confidence in APGA, saying “APGA is the fastest growing party in Africa, we are not biggest so far but we will get there.”
