Nigeria gas recorded 571 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country 153,187.
Announcing the cases in a late night tweet on Tuesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed that the country also recorded 12 new COVID-19Nrelated deaths in the last 24 hours under review.
The Health Agency said the cases were reported from 21 states including the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, q70 were recorded in Lagos, 65 in Ogun, 45 in FCT, 34 in Abia and 32 in Enugu State.
Other States with new cases include, 32 Kano-25 Oyo-22 Ondo-21 Rivers-19 Kaduna-19 Benue-18 Bayelsa-12 Kebbi-12 Nasarawa-11 Akwa Ibom-9 Delta-8 Ekiti-6 Niger-5 Bauchi-3 Imo-3.
NCDC said till date, 153187 cases have been confirmed, 129943 cases have been discharged and 1874 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Centre said a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities nationwide.
