Nigeria has recorded 360 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 156,017.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Monday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) disclosed that the country also recorded 8 new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours under review.
The Health Agency said the new cases were reported from 19 states including the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
According to the NCDC, Lagos regained top spot on the daily chart with 120 new cases, followed by Edo and Kaduna with 38 and 25 new infections respectively.
Other states with new cases include, FCT-23 Imo-23 Delta-19 Akwa Ibom-17 Plateau-17 Rivers-16 Nasarawa-15 Kwara-13 Oyo-9 Ogun-8 Bauchi-4 Osun-4 Kano-3 Kebbi-3 Niger-2 Katsina-1.
NCDC said till date, 156,017 cases have been confirmed, 133,904 treated and discharged and 1,915 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.
The Centre said a a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities nationwide.
