National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh has been rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja after he slumped at the party’s secretariat.
Global Village Extra reports that Mr. Metuh had just finished a long meeting with the party’s acting national chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, when he showed signs of exhaustion and could not carry his frame any longer.
There are reports that the PDP spokesman was asked by doctors not to stand or sit in a particular position for a long time, a directive he violated while appearing in court over the case against him by the EFCC.
While in prison custody, Mr. Metuh was said to have suffered a relapse of a back surgery that he had some months back. This led to the instructions by the doctors.
Mr. Metuh apart from regular appearance in court, is also deeply involved in the re-organisation of the PDP and planning its forthcoming National Convention. He last week announced that he will not be seeking election into any office in the National Working Committee of the PDP.
