The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 110 new cases of the novel Coronavirus in Nigeria bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country 163,440.
The Health Agency announced this in a late night tweet via its official twitter handle on Wednesday.
The Centre also disclosed that no COVID-19 related death was reported in the last 24 hours under review.
The Agency said the new cases were reported from 11 states including the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 24 were recorded in Lagos, 24 in Yobe, 16 in FCT and 10 in Bayelsa.
Other states with new cases include, Rivers-10 Kaduna-10 Nasarawa-5 Akwa Ibom-4 Bauchi-3 Edo-3 Plateau-1.
The NCDC said till date, 163,440 have been confirmed, 153,788 treated and discharged and 2,058 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT Abuja.
The Centre said a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities nationwide.
