Enugu state chapter of All Progressive Congress, has vowed not to open its doors for political office seekers rejected by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party during primaries, who may want to embrace the opposition party as a last resort.

According to APC, “those who want to join us from the PDP should do that now by registering officially, because there will be no room for those who would want to come at the injury time after being rejected by the PDP”

Speaking to newsmen in his office in Enugu, shortly at the end of a meeting between the state youth executive and  women zonal leaders, state chairman of APC, Dr. Ben Nwoye, insisted that the party is not a dumping ground for rejected PDP members”
He however, advised PDP members proposing to use APC as a last resort in 2015, to better look elsewhere or take the bull by the horn by pitching tent with the opposition party now that there are available brooms in the party’s secretariat.

Dr. Nwoye assured the people of Nsukka where APC has zoned its 2015 governorship ticket to, that its gubernatorial candidate will emerged via transparent process, because “our party has zero tolerance for imposition” he stated.

Meanwhile, the South East women leaders of the APC have passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the party in the country, as well as its zonal leader, Mrs. Helen Ojukwu.

In a Communique signed by the five state women leaders in the zone, comprising Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Abia and Imo, the women hinted that henceforth, all their meetings will be in Enugu, as the central state of Igbo land.
