The Inspector General of the Police Solomon Arase, has directed state Commissioners of Police to provide adequate Security for all foreign nationals with particular reference to missionaries living in their jurisdictions.
This directive was issued when the IGP received the Ambassador of Republic of Ireland, His Excellency Sean Hoy at the Force Headquarters
Statement signed by Emmanuel Ojukwu, the Force Public Relations Officer, hinted that the IGP also assured the Ambassador that Foreign Missions in Nigeria will continue to receive adequate security coverage.
The Ambassador who was at the Force Headquarter on a working visit congratulated the IGP on his appointment and had discussion on areas of interest of his mission in Nigeria.
