From Nnamdi Ofonye, Owerri
Though the governorhip election has been concluded with a winner and losers emerging, reactions have continued even with not less than 24 hours ahead of the final declaration of Governor Rochas Okorocha as the winner of the election in Imo State.
Gov. Okorocha’s main rival in the election and the candidate of the PDP, Emeka Ihedioha has picked holes in the process that threw up the governor for a second term alleging that it was marred by large scale irregularities and fraud.
Reacting to the result by INEC, Mr. Ihedioha said that although he has received the announcement but was quick to disclose that he, with the support of his party, are currently studying the election process and its outcome with a view to taking a definite stand in the coming days.
Despite his failure to categorically concede defeat or congratulate Rochas Okorocha, the deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives urged his supporters and party loyalists to ramain calm and law abiding while adequate consultations continue.
