Out of the 32 members of Rivers State Assembly, 24 have signed a document to impeach Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
According to The Nation, the impeachment notice was served on Fubara after impeaching and suspending Edison Ehie, the House Leader who is believed to be a supporter of the Governor.
It was gathered that the decision was taken at an emergency meeting which took place on Monday morning between 7am and 9am with all the 24 members who signed the impeachment notice present.
The House Leader, Edison Ehie who was not present at the meeting later came in with the Governor but the lawmakers who had already concluded the action left the complex through the second gate before Ehie and Fubara were allowed into the complex.
