The Independent National Electoral Commission has released how the collection of the permanent voter cards have been carried out across all the states of the federation.
As at now, 54,327,747 out of 68,833,476 representing %78.93 of the register voters have been distributed and received by the owners.
The highest rate of collection at %98 is recorded in Jigawa State with 1,794,646 out of 1,831,276 registered voters collecting their cards. Gombe State followed with 1,064,577 out of 1,120,023 which represents %95.05.
Akwa Ibom State is third with %94.46 and followed closely by Bauchi at %94.36. Taraba and Zamfara had %93.42 each.
The least in percentage collection is Ogun state where out of 1,829,534 on the register, only %44.20 which translates to 808,590 voters have picked up their card. FCT and Lagos are close to the bottom of the lather with %62.67 and %63.44 each.
Numerically, Kano State is leading the pack as 4,112,039 eligible voters now have their PVC. Lagos State which is low in percentage is second on the numerical scale with 3,693,355 PVC already distributed.
The North West, which is considered the strong base of the APC Presidential candidate is tops among the geo-political zones with 15,827,842. South East where President Jonathan of the PDP will win at least %85 of total votes is lowest with 6,030,327. The South South, home base of the incumbent has 7,995,575.
