President Goodluck Jonathan and former President, Olusegun Obasanjo had later on Monday, held a close door meeting where the chances of the PDP in the general election next month was said to have been discussed.
It will be recalled that the former president Olusegun Obasanjo was conspicuously missing at the state visit and presidential rally of President Goodluck Jonathan, where leaders of the party lauded the contribution of the former president to the party.
HOMELAND NEWS reported that the former President avoided the meeting scheduled for early evening.
Journalists had earlier in the day converged on the Presidential Hilltop ‎ahead of the planned arrival of the president only to learnt that the president had landed at the main bowl of the Moshood Abiola International Stadium.
Sources at the Obasanjo residence said that the late night meeting which began about 9pm and ended about after mid-night was set-up by a prominent Christian cleric.
Although Journalists were not allowed into the residence while the meeting lasted, security situation in the area was relaxed.
