The Joint Task Force JTF, code named Operation Pulo Shield in the Niger Delta has paraded four suspected pirates in Bayelsa State.

Speaking to newsmen at the JTF headquarters in Opolo, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the Coordinator Joint Media Campaign Centre Lieutenant Colonel Isa Ado said the pirates were arrested at Mbikiri and Nembe 1 communities by troops of the JTF deployed at Fontua in Brass local government area of Bayelsa state .

Lieutenant Colonel Ado said items recovered from the suspects include one Ak47 riffle, 4 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition , one G3 riffle loaded with 7.62mm NATO and one Pump Action gun loaded with cartridges.

The task force spokesman said the suspects before their arrest were responsible for all the attacks and sea robbery activities on the Mbikiri and Nembe 1, waterways of the state.
