There is a report of a Monday night explosion near a Mosque in Kano killing the suicide bomber.
Public Relations Officer in the state, Magaji Majiya, said the teenage bomber detonated the explosive at 9.30pm on Monday after she was prevented from accessing the Umar Bin Khatab mosque along Zaria Road.
It appeared the bomber was targeting the worshippers coming out after the late evening prayer.
“She was trying to cross over to the mosque, but she was stopped,” Mr. Majiya said. “She immediately detonated the bomb and died immediately.”
An eye witness said the casualty figure in the incident is unclear.
