The clash between the Hausa Community and some Drivers in Ado Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State has continue to degenerate.

On Friday, some arsonists set a market in the state capital on fire leading to the destruction of goods worth millions of naira.

This attack is seen as a reprisal for the destruction of wares belonging to some Hausa traders by the aggrieved drivers on Thursday.

The state governor, Ayodele Fayose has ordered immediate evacuation of the Hausa Community to safety.  Mr. Fayose had on Thursday declared a dusk to dawn curfew in the state.

Meanwhile, the Police had denied complicity in the attacks as alleged by some residents of the state. The Police was accused of providing cover for the arsonists while they carried out the attack and denying the victims assess into the market to salvage what was left of their wares.
