Leaders of the Lake Chad basin commission are beginning to arrive Abuja for a meeting.
Delegates of Chad and Niger arrived earlier today.
Executive Secretary of the commission, Sanusi Abdullahi told newsmen that the implementation of the multi-national joint tax force is long overdue.
Mr. Abdullahi also said the commission will need about $30m to set up the headquarters of the task force.
“The total amount needed to set up and sustain the Multi National Joint Task Force Headquarters for the next 12 months is estimated to be about Thirty Million Dollars, the troops contributing country are responsible for equipping and sustain their battalions”
He added that time is up for the insurgents as the commission will not look back in dealing with the terrorists
