In a bid to broaden issue- based campaign by political parties, a coalition of labour and civil society group has invited presidential candidates in the February 14 election to a public debate on Public Administration related issues.

NLC stated that it is necessary for political parties and candidates to tell the working people, voters and citizens in Nigeria how they will address the challenges of public administration in Nigeria.

A statement signed by Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, the NLC General Secretary hinted that the participating candidates are expected to show concrete strategies and plans for improved policy and planning co-ordination, improved human resource management structures, systems and skills and improved budget transparency, consultation, oversight and credibility.

The event fixed for Thursday, 5th February, 2015 in Abuja according to the NLC would be put together in collaboration with the African Center for Leadership, Strategy and Development(CLDS), ActionAid and Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC).
