The Nigeria Labour Congress  has described the Passage of 46 Bills under 10 minutes by the defunct 7th National Assembly as an embarrassment to the nation and reckless path to law making

NLC went ahead and urged President Buhari not to sign the bills into law but to return them to the incoming 8th National Assembly for further legislative action

The NLC in a statement expressed shock and disappointment at the action of the law makers and urged the  incoming legislators to subject the bills to proper legislative procedures before passage.

Statement signed by the NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba stated that by skipping the 1st, 2nd and 3rd reading process, as well as the public hearing on these bills, the lawmakers have denied Nigerians the basic opportunity to interrogate the desirability of these bills.
