One person has died and several others, including children are hospitalised as oil and gas spill occurs in Opuama in Warri North Local government area of Delta state.
The elderly man who suffered from inhalation of the gas died from suffocation this Monday morning.
The spill which happened at about 2am on Sunday from the facility belonging to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Ltd, affected several communities close to Opuama.
Children are seen at the community stream where oil has taken over the water.
