A man said to have been trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building at the Ago Palace Way axis of Lagos State has been rescued by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
The man was saved by LASEMA officials following a rescue operation after the three-story building collapsed on Friday.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency had reported that an uncompleted three-storey building, on Friday, collapsed at 12 Alasepe Street, off Community Road, Ago Palace Way, Okota in Lagos State leaving a man trapped under the rubble.
Earlier, the Director-General of LASEM, Dr Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the structure was near completion before it collapsed.
He stated that the impact of the collapse affected other structures close to the scene of the incident, adding that once the recovery operation was completed, the remaining parts of the collapsed building would undergo controlled demolition.
