Suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibarahim Magu, has expressed disappointment at the story published on an online news platform, where it was reported that the Presidential Panel investigating the operations of the EFCC, recommended the sack of the former acting chairman.
A letter from his lawyer, Wahab Shittu, clearly stated that the panel cannot round up its sitting or present its final report without giving audience to his client.
The letter claimed that since the sitting began on the 6th of July, Mr. Magu has not been provided with a copy of the allegations against him.
Mr. Shittu urged those who seem to be in a hurry to find Mr. Magu guilty, and are planting false stories in the media to think of justice and national interest and desist from the act.
