Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru, was this friday afternoon, sighted at the Presidential Villa, Abuja about the same time President Muhammadu Buhari was meeting the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.
Whether he was there just for the Juma’at prayer which the President also attended, or for other businesses may not be confirmed at the moment.
Dr. Baru first went to the Vice-President’s Wing of the Presidential Villa before he proceeded to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kachukwu kept mum after the meeting with President Buhari. He simply responded “No comment” to all the questions thrown at him by state house correspondents.
The minister who arrived the Presidential Villa around 11.40am for the meeting, left at about 12.50pm.
It will be recalled that the minister had written a memo to the President where he accused the embattle GMD of the NNPC of insubordination and abuse of due process in award of contracts and appointments amounting to $25bn
