The Department of State Services has released 8 out of 12 aides of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday igboho.
Their release was ordered by the Federal High Court on Monday last week after 53 days on detention.
Out of the 8 aides granted bail in the Sum of N5million each 6 were released while out of the 4 granted bail in the sum of N10 million 2 were released.
In all, 4 of the arrested aides are still in the custody of the DSS
Counsel Pelumi Olajengbesi says efforts have been intensified to secure the release of the 4 as ordered by the court.
On the first of July, operatives of the DSS invaded the residence of Sunday Igboho in the Kaka area of Ibadan, capital of Oyo state.
Two persons were killed and 13 others arrested.
Sunday Igboho has been accused of leading a secessionist group that is demanding the creation of the Yoruba Nation.
He has been detained in the Republic of Benin after being arrested on his way to escape to Germany.
